SSEE Working Papers in Development
From 2007 with the incorporation of SAGES into the School of Social and Environmental Enquiry, the title of the papers has been changed to SSEE Working Papers in Development.
The SSEE Working Papers in Development draw on original research, in a diverse variety of topics, areas and disciplines, done by students and staff of the University of Melbourne, as well as practitioners and other members of the SSEE research community who seek to promote a critical and theoretically informed analysis of development practice and the world in which we live. In presenting them as 'working papers' we hope to highlight both senses of the word 'working'. Research papers should be in process, 'working' towards a sharper, stronger, and more critically informed and articulate contribution to the academic body of knowledge, as well as 'working', in the world, to change it for the better, by linking thought and action.
